Iran urges Lebanon to help it find four missing diplomats

Iran urged the Lebanese government yesterday to find its diplomats who went missing during the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that was distributed in Beirut that evidence suggests that the diplomats are still alive and that they were moved to Israel. The diplomats were kidnapped at an inspection point for the Lebanese Forces in north Lebanon on July 4, 1982.
