Iraq denounces permission for US fighter jets to take off from Japan

Iraq denounced Japan's permission for the United States of America to use its territories to launch attacks on Iraq.

Iraq described that as being a dangerous step and unfriendly message from the Japanese government to Iraq and its people.

El-Iraq newspaper yesterday, expressed its regret and astonishment over the Japanese government's permission to the US military to use Misawo base as a take off point for the American fighters which launched a missile on Tuesday against an Iraqi site in the south of the country.

The newspaper called on Tokyo to promote friendly relations, respect and joint interests between Iraq and Japan.
