Bashir calls his opposition to return

Originally published

Sudanese President Omar Bashir called on the Sudanese opposition abroad to return to the country.

In a speech he delivered after signing the new Sudanese constitution, Bashir said that Sudan is welcoming everybody for actual participation in managing the affairs of the country.

Directing his speech to his opposition, Bashir said that the new Sudanese constitution opens the field for participation, allows freedom and rights not allowed by any other constitution before and opens the horizons of citizenship to participate, not restricted by racism or doctrine or origin or social disclosure.

He also directed a call for everybody to return to the "homeland" to participate in development instead of war.
