Husseini calls for announcing Palestinian state

The official responsible for the Jerusalem file in the Palestinian government, Faisel Husseini, warned of a great explosion threatening to shake the whole region due to the policy of the current Israeli government toward the peace process and called on the Palestinian leadership to announce a Palestinian State to rescue itself from its current condition.

Husseini said that he believes that the Palestinian territories currently are under a similar atmosphere as that before the Intifada (uprising), adding that the coming unrest will experience different methods of protest than those of the Intifada.

Husseini said that the peace process has been killed and that all the peace process sponsors and supporters believe that it is dead, but all parties refuse to announce its death themselves.

He stated that this is the last chance for the current Palestinian leadership to announce the establishment of the Palestinian state and defend it.
