Qatar releases two suspects coup participants

Judicial sources said that the main criminal court in Doha on Thursday freed two prisoners accused of taking part in a coup attempt in 1996. One of the two suspects, Abdullah Muhammad Hamad al-Qubeisi,

was presented before the court for the first time on May 27 after retruning to his country after fleeing following the coup attempt. Another 34 persons accused in the coup attempt have also been freed.
