Arafat agrees to new US call for time
A Palestinian official source confirmed to ArabicNews.com today that "Palestinian president Yasser Arafat agreed to a new American demand of giving Washington more time to resume its efforts and to prepare the final formula for the American suggestions."
Meanwhile, Nabil Abu Rodinah, President Arafat's counselor, said that Arafat traveled yesterday to Burkina Faso to participate in the conference of the Organization African Unity.
Abu Rodinah said, "Arafat will tackle the peace process latest developments, and the exerted efforts to save it from the crisis due to the Israeli government's obstinacy for implementing the signed agreements with the Palestinian side."
