Gaddafi suggests forming African force to solve Ethiopia - Eritrea dispute

In an address broadcast by Libyan television yesterday evening, Libyan President Moammar Gaddafi urged Eritrea and Ethiopia to use self-control and not resort to force to solve disputes.

Gaddafi sent messages to the Ethiopian and Eritrean presidents that include a suggestion that forces be sent from the African KOMISA group as well as sending the officials to the area to present this suggestion to the two leaders.
