Egyptian banks demand reduction in financial reserve percentage
Some Egyptian banks demanded a reduction in the financial reserve percentage annually obtained by the Egyptian central bank, which is 15% of the deposited volume at each bank.
A source in the Union of Egyptian Banks told ArabicNews.com today that the banks demanded a reduction of this percentage to 5% or 10% annually, especially as the central bank has a financial reserve of foreign currency estimated at $20 billion.
