Originally published

After his meeting in Cairo with Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa, Kenyan Foreign Minister Bonaya Godana said on Sunday that "The last agreement in Nairobi concerning the dispute in Sudan may achieve some progress, yet the problem in Sudan is very complicated and no one expects the success of the agreement."

Godana confirmed that neither Kenya nor any other country in the region has a desire to divide any country in Africa.

He also said that he and Moussa expressed their approval of the steps taken to develop bilateral relations between the two countries and the cooperation in all fields, especially economic and commercial cooperation.

Meanwhile, Moussa stated, "Egypt is in continuous consultation with all parties in the Sudanese case," adding that Egypt supports Sudan because the situation is very dangerous and will affect the present and the future.

Moussa has also referred that, "The strong relations between Egypt and Sudan necessitate continuing these consultations."
