Al-Azhar Sheikh visits Pope Shenuda to congratulate him on Easter

The Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Mohammed Sayed Tantawi, visited Pope Shenouda III, Patriarch of the Coptic Orthodox Christian church to congratulate on the Easter feast.

Sheikh Tantawi wished the Copts in Egypt and abroad all the health and goodness and said the Moslems and Copts in Egypt represent one society solid in front of false allegations and said they will remain so till the judgment day.

The Pope said all efforts to spread false allegation among the Egyptian people will not work and said, "We refuse any external interference in our internal affairs."

The Egyptian minister of defense and military production and the general leader of the armed forces, Hussein Tantawi, sent a telegram of congratulations to Pope Shenouda, congratulating him and all Christians on Easter.
