American - Egyptian participation committee meets today at Washington

The meetings of the American - Egyptian participation's committee begin today in Washington within the initiative of "Mubarak and Gore", the meetings will be attended by ministers of trade, economy and environment in Egypt, social fund's secretary for development and some businessmen.

The United States is considered an important trade partner for Egypt, where the volume of trade between them reached to 4.5 billion dollars in 1997 with an increase of 18.5% over last year.
