US prize goes to Egyptian al-Azhar professor

Dr. Farourk Sadek, an Egyptian professor of the psychology at Al-Azhar University will receive a research award from the American Association on Mental Retardation on May 28 during the organization's annual conference. This is the first time the prize is presented to a non-American.

The award recognizes his works and research in the field of children's services for those with special requirements in Egypt and several Arab countries in serving those with special needs.
