Tunisian trade exchange balance improves

Tunisia's trade with the Arab Maghreb states improved during 1997, as its trade deficit was reduced from 44 million Tunisian dinars to 35 million.

Tunisian trade sources said such development is attributable to a lower volume of imports from the Maghreb states by 13% against a 4% increase in Tunisian exports to these countries.
