Lebanese resistance hits back at Israeli positions
The Lebanese resistance on Monday attacked Israeli forces positioned in the al-Dabsheh and al-Sala'a areas in the occupied part of south Lebanon.
Israeli-allied Lahd radio stated that the Lebanese resistance launched six attacks against Israeli occupation forces and affiliated South Lebanon Army militiamen on Sunday.
Earlier on Monday, the Lebanese resistance attacked Israeli forces in al-Mouthallath triangle. Resistance fighters detonated a charge in a Lahd militia mechanized patrol along the road leading to Rom position, east of Sidon.
In a statement, the Lebanese resistance said one of its groups machine-gunned and rocketed the Israeli Radar Station hill in the occupied strip of south Lebanon. It added that clashes between resistance men and the Israeli soldiers in this position resulted in direct hits.
Meanwhile, Israeli war planes raided al-Tuffah district in occupied south Lebanon. Security Sources said Israeli warplanes flew at a low altitude over al-Tuffah province and fired air-to-surface missiles against Aqmata province.
Occupation forces pounded al-Nabatieh city and its neighboring areas using heavy artillery. Traffic was halted as a result of the bombardment, Lebanese security sources said.
The shelling covered areas in the western district of south Lebanon, including al-Mansouri, Haris, Hadatha, Majdal Zoun towns and al-Salouqi valley district. The shelling was accompanied by machine-gun fire.
