Qatar minimizes Israeli trade activities in Doha
Qatar has asserted that the deadlocked Middle East peace process necessitates Qatar to take a stand in reponse to Israeli policy. The Qatari News Agency quoted Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad Bin Jasem al-Thani as saying on Sunday that Qatar has minimized the activities of the Israeli business and trade office in Doha and suspended measures to open an office in Israel.
He noted Qatar's one-year freeze on relations with Israel due to the Israeli government's policy toward the peace process.
