Yugoslavian official criticizes Egyptian press over Kosovo

Originally published

The charge d'affairs at the Yugoslavian embassy in Cairo accused the Egyptian press of a lack of objectivity in dealing with the Kosovo crisis.

Vladimir Nesivesh criticized the Egyptian press for its handling of the situation in the Kosovo region, accusing the Egyptian press of exaggeration and describing the situation in Kosovo as racial purging against Muslims. He demanded that Egyptian journalists maintain objectivity and present all points of view of the Albanians and Serbs.

Nesivesh compared the situation facing Albanian Moslems in Belgrade to the Egyptian government's attitude towards terrorists.

He stated that the Albanians practiced racial purging against the Serbs, and asked Egypt to support the Serbs' attitude if this case is presented before the United Nations.
