Saudi Arabia for reiterates call for peace

Originally published

Saudi Arabia reiterated its position concerning the Middle East peace process, which calls for the establishment of just and comprehensive peace in the region based on the land for peace formula and adherence to agreements signed and relevant international resolutions.

In a statement following Monday's weekly meeting of the Saudi Cabinet chaired by King Fahd, Saudi Information Minister Fuad Abdul Salam al-Farisi said Saudi Arabia's position was made clear during the King's review of the deadlock in the peace process due to Israel's intransigent stand aiming at consolidating and perpetuating its occupation of Arab lands.

The king called upon the Islamic world to maintain solidarity to meet challenges surrounding it.
