An exceptional meeting for ministers of water's Nile

An exceptional meeting for water ministers from Nile basin countries will be held within six months, to decide on the final structure and form of the 10 countries' collective strategy, to be presented for discussion at the periodic water's ministers' council in Khartoum in February 1999.

Mahmoud Abo Zeid, Egypt's minister public works and water resources, who headed the Egyptian delegation to the recent meeting of Nile basin ministers in Tanzania, said it was the first time the members unanimously agreed to participate in any mechanism including all 10 Nile countries and a technical advisory committee composed of experts from these countries.
