Canadian governor general to visit UAE

Ottawa said on Friday that Canada's Governor General Romeo Le Blanc will visit the United Arab Emirates on his way from India to Pakistan.

The Gulf News agency reported that during his visit, which will start on March 22, the Canadian governor general will hold meetings with senior officials aiming at consolidating relations between the two countries.

He will inspect the Canadian soldiers on board the Canadian submarine Toronto in the Arab Gulf waters in the context of Canada's support for the US crisis with Iraq.
