Mubarak meets Israeli trade unions chief

President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt on Monday received the chairman of the Israeli workers trade union (Histadrut), Amir Peretz .

Following the meeting Peretz said President Mubarak expressed concern over the situation in the Middle East region resulting from the stalemated peace process. Peretz met on Sunday with Egypt's minister of agriculture to discuss several agreements.
