Activating the peace process

Dr. Osama El-Baz, President Mubarak's political advisor, described the agreement between Iraq and the United Nations as a balanced achievement that secures the pride and stability of Iraq. During his farewell to Palestinian President Yasser Arafat at Cairo airport, El-Baz said the coming period will view a great activation of the US role in enhancing the peace process.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Amr Moussa confirmed that a series of Egyptian - Palestinian meetings will convene in Cairo over the coming week, to coordinate positions and discuss coming initiatives on the Middle East peace process.

Moussa added: "The Israeli prime minister has to implement his commitments specified in the transitional stage to allow discussion of the last stage."
