Algerian, Niger presidents meet

The Niger Republic's president, Ibrahim Bari Mainasar, praised the good relations between his country and Algeria, confirming that he is in Algeria to express his people's solidarity with Algeria.

The two presidents, Mainasar and Algeria's Liamine Zeroual, held private talks, later being joined by the Algerian and Nigeri delegations.

Algerian television reported that the Nigeri president said he came to express his people's solidarity with the Algerian people in their daily struggle against anti-democratic forces and against fundamentalism.

Mainasar said Algeria has the intention and the necessary resources to find an internal solution for its crisis, referring to foreign interference, which Algeria has repeatedly condemned.
