Salaries raised

Jordan's cabinet during its meeting yesterday decided to raise the salaries paid to members of the Lower House of parliament, a well-informed source said.

Deputies' salaries will be JD 1500 ($2110) per month after the increase, up from JD 950. The new raise will be paid beginning next month.
