Jordanian national conference opposes normalization with Israel
Jordanian forces opposing the normalization of relations with Israel, decided to hold a wide national conference in Amman in late February, to undermine the normalization between Jordan and Israel, and create methods of resisting it.
The new movement against normalization with Israel came after a visit paid by two Jordanian deputies to Israel in which they visited the Israeli Knesset and held a meeting with the head of parliament, Dan Tichon.
This visit aroused great resentment among parliamentary and public circles in Jordan, to the extent that the deputies were isolated and expelled from the parliament.
Ali Abu Suber, the assistant secretary general of the Engineering Union, said the conference will discuss the normalization through working papers that deal with economic, cultural, and political points. The aim is to shed lihgt on the reality of the normalization process with Israeli and determine a mechanism for coordinating efforts to resist it.
