Egyptian laborers demand lifting of Iraq sanctions

Originally published

The General Union for the Egyptian Laborers syndicate demanded in the name of 17 million laborers that the United Nations and Arab League stand with Iraq with all available capacities and the financial and literary support, to stick together with the Iraqi people, and to lift the sanctions imposed on it.

Al Sayed Rashed, the labor union's chairman, said in two messages sent to Meguid that the goal of the labor union is to defend the laborers' liberties and democracy, to stand beside the nation in a crisis in any aggression or pressure to weaken and humiliate nations.
