Angry Egyptian lawyer warns American ambassador

Egyptian lawyer Nabeh El-Wahsh threatened to take legal action against Daniel Kurtzer, the American ambassador in Cairo, who criticized Egypt for not attending the Middle East and North Africa economic conference -- in which Israel participation led to a wide Arab boycott -- in Doha, Qatar last November.

The lawyer said sent a warning through El-Gala court in Cairo in which he said, "You are representing a peace sponsor state and you should be neutral, and respect the people's feelings and the country in which you live, otherwise leave."

The ambassador held a press conference after arriving at Egypt in which he said Egypt made a mistake in not attending the Doha conference.
