Algeria delegation to submit its report to European Union
The European Union troika delegation concluded its 24 hour-visit to Algeria. The delegation headed by the British Foreign Minister Derek Fatchett held many meetings with Algerian officials, heads of opposition parties, and editors-in-chief of five newspapers.
The delegation is expected to submit a detailed report about this visit to the Public Affairs Council of the European Union during its meeting in London next Monday. A report submitted by the British ambassador in Algeria, Francois Gordon, about the circumstances of the terrorist attack in the village of Sidi Hamad, will also be included in the main report.
Through this visit, Algeria aimed at a better European understanding of the Algerian requests that the European countries put an end to the Algerian terrorist groups active in Europe. The head of the Algerian Red Crescent, Said Ayash, said the best help that could be offered to Algeria from the European countries is to stop assisting the terrorist groups which exist on their land.
