Lebanese singer in a French film

Originally published

French filmmaker Fredrick Mitterrand has recently started work on his documentary about the widely-famous Lebanese singer Fairuz, whose voice has attracted Arab audiences over the past 40 years.

On several occasions Mitterrand has expressed his admiration of the Arab culture and arts and made many programs in which he hosted famous Arab actors and singers.

The documentary will highlight Fairuz's career since her start in the 1950's and the sketches she performed with Lebanese singers notable Wadi al-Safi and Nasri Shamseddin, composed by the Rahbanai brothers Assi and Mansour.
