Europe to issue a statement on closure of Welfare Party in Turkey

France has said the European Union will shortly issue a statement concerning the shutting down of the Islamic Welfare Party in Turkey. Spokeswoman for the French Foreign Ministry underlined her country's interest in maintaining pluralism and improving the political scene in Turkey.
