French FM underlines the importance of dialogue with Syria

SANA said from Beirut that in an interview with Lebanese daily al-Nahar published Wednesday, French Foreign Minister Hubert Vedrine said political dialogue with Syria is an important element due to its status, weight and historical role.

The French FM said his country is keen to develop relations and continue political dialogue with Syria since France is committed to achieving peace in the region. He called for joint efforts on the part of the EU, US and Russia to achieve a just and comprehensive peace on the region on the basis of international legitimacy and its relevant resolutions.
