Lebanon pledges commitment to peace principles

In a message sent by the Lebanese government to UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, Lebanon asked for the renewal of UNIFIL for another period.

The message also called for complete implementation of UN resolutions providing for Israel's full and unconditional withdrawal from south Lebanon, adding that the state of Lebanon can control its occupied territories.
