Sudanese rebels surrender to government

A well-informed source in the Sudanese armed forces said that 1,787 rebels from Southern Sudanese rebellious have during the past two days surrendered to the Sudanese forces, SANA said.

It continued that the source added in a statement to the Sudanese News Agency that those people, including 20 army officers, have surrendered in two shifts on Wednesday and Thursday in the town of Niryal Bai in Bahr al-Ghazzale region, southern Sudan.
