Iran strongly condemns attempts to associate it with Luxor carnage
Iran has strongly condemned the US justifications of recent statements by the US ambassador to Israel, Edward Walker, in which he implicated Iranian involvement in the November attack on tourists at an ancient temple in Luxor, Egypt.
Spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry Mahmoud Muhammadi said in press statements on Thursday that linking terrorist acts and terrorism is blatant US aggressiveness against Tehran, noting that Egypt's Foreign Minister Amr Moussa has refuted the US ambassador's allegations.
Muhammadi denied the US claim, adding it is a result of concerns over detente between Egypt and Iran, started during the recent Islamic Summit in Tehran.
