Palestinian prisoner on hunger strike again
Palestinian prisoner Itaf Elayan, the alleged member of the Islamic Jihad Organization, has again gone on an open hunger strike after she felt convinced that Israel has backtracked from an earlier promise to release her by the start of Ramadan, the holy month in Islam which started Tuesday.
Elayan, held under administrative detention since last October, went on a hunger strike for 40 days ending December 2, when she was promised that she would be released during the month of Ramadan.
