Tunisia and Spain, other European countries
The upcoming period is expected to witness remarkable activities in Tunisian-Spanish relations on the one hand, and in relations between Tunisia and the European Union on the other hand. These activities between Tunisia and the European Union come within the partnership agreement reached by the two sides in 1996 which will be put into effect at the beginning of next year.
Meanwhile, the two Foreign Ministers of Tunisia and Spain recently concluded their discussions within the periodic meetings agreed upon by the two sides in the Friendship and Good Neighborhood Treaty which they signed in 1996.
Tunisian Foreign Minister Said Bin Moustafa and his Spanish counterpart Abel Matuitus focused on the future of the two countries' relations and on boosting fields of cooperation. They also discussed the situations in the North African region and the obstacles to the implementation of the Mediterranean-European road through Barcelona.
