Europe to tax Egyptian cotton
The European commission has imposed new taxes on Egypt's bed sheets exported to European market, in a move likely to effect Egyptian cotton.
The new fees of 13.5% on the exports of the public enterprises and 13% on private sector companies, are seen as a response to a dumping complaint field by the European cotton federation against the Egyptian companies.
Egypt exported seven tons of bed sheets to the European market last year, Al-Wafd daily said today.
