Ministers discussed citrus marketing

In its Tuesday's meeting the Syrian cabinet reviewed works of the services committee. The ministers discussed citrus marketing processes in local and foreign markets, obstacles and means of overcoming them.

The General Company for Fruits and Vegetables was asked to purchase citrus directly from producers in support of citrus farmers. They also discussed the draft bill ratifying the memorandum of understanding on the technical grant financing the project in support of of farm work guidance with the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Union and the bill on financing the communication project with the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development.

Also discussed were the draft bill on ratifying the technical aid agreement with the Islamic Bank for Development and the draft bill to ratify the agreement on financing the cereals silo project with OPEC Fund for Development.
