20 Omani woman to Shura (consultive) council

Sultan Qaboos Bin Said appointed 2 woman as part of an 82 member consultative (Shura) council following a national election in the Gulf Arab nation.

The Sultan chose all 82 delegates from among nominees elected by 50,000 selected Omanis an October poll that allowed woman across the country to run for office and cast ballots for the time.

The official Omani news agency (ONA) named the woman as Taebah Bint Moahmed Nawali and Shakouk Bint Mohamed Ghamri.
