Amnesty calls for Algeria investigations

Amnesty International called on the United Nations to investigate massacres in Algeria, accusing the Algerian government of complicity in the attacks, Fox News reported.

The Algerian government has denied any involvement in the attacks, although it has admitted that there may be isolated lapses by individual members of the security forces. The government has also strongly opposed any outside intervention in dealing with the attacks, which it considers an internal matter.
