The development plan is the first step toward featuring the sites in itineraries for tourist visitors to Egypt, Al Ahram daily said today.

Tourism Minister Dr. Mamdouh El Beltagui was quoted by a Cairo weekly yesterday as saying that Culture Ministry agreed to send archaeologists to decide which sites will first undergo development.

"During the coming stage, the ministry will looking for fresh tourism markets especially in the Scandinavian countries and the for East. This trend is meant to depend less on certain markets," he said.

"The ministry received an offer from an international agency, which promotes the famous Wimbledon tennis championship, to market the golf courts built recently in Egypt" he said.
