Thursday's strike confirmed

Thursday's labor strike was confirmed, yesterday, despite a mediation session that brought the General Labor Confederation together with the Industrialists Syndicate, yesterday. The president of the Industrialists Syndicate, Jacques Sarraf, announced the syndicate's refusal of the strike's principle.

Meanwhile, economic authorities held a meeting in the house of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce to discuss the issue. They urged the Laborer's Union to back down from a strike that might endanger the already fragile economic state of the country.
