36 terrorists to begin trial

A statement by an Egyptian state security court said yesterday the trial of 36 men charged with belonging to a terrorist group and plotting to kill policemen and officials has begun.

The charges include membership in a terrorist group, plotting to rob 18 gold shops and possessing weapons and explosives, Al Ahrar daily said today.
