The Lebanese-Italian Talks

Italy's support of Lebanon's integrity and the application of the UN resolution 425 were highlighted by president Oscar Luigi Scalfaro, after day-long discussions with Lebanese leaders and officials yesterday.

Scalfaro held a met in the morning with president Elias Hrawi. Speaker Nabih Berri, and ministers Fares Boueiz and Michel Murr joined afterwards. The meeting centered around the peace process and Lebanese-Italian economic relations. The leaders also decided to strengthen the bilateral ties between the two countries. In the evening, Scalfaro attended an official dinner in his honor in the presidential palace in Baabda.
