Mashar's militia terror in Shebdi

Sudan's National Islamic Front (NIF) government transferred the militia units led by Riak Mashar to Al-Maagil area in Shendi, where they occupied the camp once used by the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) troops, a citizen from Shendi said.

Exploiting a lack of administrative and military follow up, Mashar's troops used to shop in the market without paying, reporters said.

A delegation representing the merchants raised the issue to the commander of the infantry in Shendi. After some contacts with Khartoum, the troops of Mashar were withdrawn from Al-Maagil to the signal corps in Khartoum, Al Khartoum daily today.
