Yemeni president visit to Oman

Yemeni President Ali Abdalla Saleh will pay an official visit to Oman next December in response to an invitation from Sultan Said Bin Qaboos of Oman.

An official source in Yemen stated that the two leaders will discuss means of boosting bilateral relations and increasing fields of cooperation between the two countries. They will also discuss the peace process in the Middle East.

ArabicNews.com has learned that the Yemeni President will request the Omani Sultan's support for Yemen's bid to join the Gulf Cooperation Council.

Saleh will also brief Qaboos on the latest developments of Eritrea's occupation of the Island of Henesh and what was done to solve the border problem between Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
