Originally published

An Egyptian orchestra of blind girls, the one and only of its kind in the world, has achieved international fame, performing across the world and clinching many prestigious awards.

World music critics are impressed by the ability of the "Al Nor Wal Amal" (light and hope) ensemble's young musicians to master the most difficult sort of classical music and show a unique harmony with their conductors.

The ensemble will give a performance at the new campus of Helwan University on Tuesday, Al Akhbar El Nogum weekly reported today. The Gala is expected to draw a large audience.
