Albright shortens first day of talks

US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright cut the first day of Israeli-Palestinian peace talks short yesterday, saying that the Palestinians had not sent representatives with the ability to conduct detailed negotiations, according to a Philadelphia Inquirer report. The two sides meet again today to continue talks.
