French president to visit UAE next month

French President Jacques Chirac will visit the UAE on December 15 for two days. This is Chirac's first visit since he took office. The French president had met with Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan in France last summer.

Chirac visited Qatar and Saudi Arabia last June. Chirac's visit to the UAE is looked upon as very important by political circles in the UAE due to the strong ties between Paris and Abu Dhabi.

The two leaders will study the recent developments concerning the three isles of Greater Tanb, Smaller Tanb, and Abu Moussa which are occupied by Iran.
