German fashion show in Egypt

Dr. Peter Goifresh, the Arab-German chamber of commerce cheif, was quoted as saying by a Cairo-based daily paper yesterday that around 1,000 Egyptian and German social figures were expected to show up for the event, which will display the latest production of famous German fashion designers.

The charity gala is sponsored by Germany's envoy in Cairo, ambassador Dr. Wolf-Dietrich Schilling and will be performed by a galaxy of Germany's top super models.

Egyptian businessmen and fashion designers are planning to make use of this chance to boost cooperation with their German counterparts. Invitations have been sent to many German ready-to-wear clothes manafacturers and fashion moguls to came to Egypt to attend the display and hold talks on boosting trade relations with Egypt, Al Gomhoria daily said today.
