PLO urges all Arabs to boycott Mena

All PLO factions yesterday called for an Arab boycott of this month's Middle East and North Africa (MENA) conference in Doha to protest Israeli policies.

"We see it as necessary to boycott this conference and to work in order to foil it," a PLO statement said. The statement was signed by the eight main PLO factions.

Arafat's Palestinian Authority, in charge of self-rule areas in the West Bank and Gaza Strip under interim peace deals with Israel, has has yet to decide whether it will send a delegation to the November 16-18 conference in Qatar, Al Wafd daily said today.
